In the winter of 2013, Waterbean Coffee made its debut in Cornelius, NC, inspired by a simple conversation between founders Tony Vo and his wife Annie about the art of brewing the perfect cup of coffee. From that moment, Waterbean Coffee was born, with a commitment to delivering exceptional coffee experiences to its customers.

As the first specialty coffee shop in the Lake Norman area, Waterbean Coffee set itself apart by offering a diverse range of brewing methods, including pour-over, French Press, Aeropress, and an impressive selection of espresso single origin and blends – over five to choose from.

From its humble beginnings, Waterbean Coffee quickly expanded, opening its second location in Huntersville, a spacious 4000sq/ft establishment that remains its largest store to date. This rapid growth didn’t stop there, as Waterbean Coffee soon became the fastest- and largest-growing local coffee shop, even venturing internationally with a location in Da Nang, Vietnam. With a total of 14 locations, a dedicated roastery, and a distribution center, Waterbean Coffee has firmly established itself as a cornerstone of the coffee scene.
